Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Bault, LLC (“Haptix”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website (haptix.dev) and our products (the Haptix SDK, MCP Server, and menu bar application).

2. What Haptix Does NOT Collect

The core Haptix product — the SDK and MCP Server — operates entirely on your local network. We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:

  • No screenshots from your device are sent to our servers
  • No accessibility data from your app leaves your local network
  • No gesture or interaction data is transmitted externally
  • No app source code or build artifacts are collected
  • No device identifiers are sent beyond your local network

All communication between the Haptix SDK (on your device) and the Haptix MCP Server (on your Mac) happens via WebSocket on your local network. Nothing leaves your network.

3. What We Do Collect

We collect limited information in the following contexts:

Website (haptix.dev)

  • Standard web analytics (page views, referrers, browser type)
  • Information you provide voluntarily (e.g., email for support inquiries)

Account & Billing

  • Email address associated with your purchase
  • Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor
  • License key activation data (machine fingerprint for seat validation — no personal data is collected)

4. Payment Processing

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never directly access, store, or process your payment card details. For information about how Stripe handles your data, please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To manage your subscription and validate your license
  • To communicate with you about the Service (updates, security notices)
  • To improve the Service based on usage patterns
  • To comply with legal obligations

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Analytics providers — for website usage analysis (anonymized where possible)
  • Law enforcement — when required by applicable law

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. The Haptix product itself is designed with security in mind:

  • Local network communication prevents data exposure to the internet
  • USB-only connections ensure physical cable equals consent — no remote access possible

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@haptix.dev.

9. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for functionality and may use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
